Care Guide privacy notice

What we collect when you use the Panama Care Guide, why, where it goes, and how to get it deleted.

Effective: October 17, 2026 · Applies to hoponpanama.com/care and hoponpanama.com/fr/soins

Who is responsible

The Care Guide is operated by BluePulse AI Digital Solutions ("BluePulse", "we") for publication on Hop On Panama's website. BluePulse is the organization responsible for your personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for Quebec residents, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

Person in charge of the protection of personal information / privacy officer: Ray Caldwell, BluePulse AI Digital Solutions · pulse@bluepulseai.com · 667.279.7755.

What we collect, and why

WhereWhatWhy
Care-desk inquiry formName, email, province, WhatsApp number (optional), the type of help you need, your travel dates and your message. To reply to you and, if you ask, to connect you with a facility or partner. Your message may contain health information you choose to share; we only use it to answer your request.
Care-desk assistant (chat)The questions you type. The assistant does not ask for your name or contact details. The conversation is processed to generate an answer and is not stored as a transcript by us.To answer your question from the verified directory.
Site analyticsStandard Google Analytics 4 data (pages viewed, approximate location, device, clicks on call/WhatsApp buttons). IP addresses are anonymized by GA4.To understand which pages and listings are useful.
Browser storageNone beyond what the site already uses. No cookies are set by the Care Guide itself.—

We do not collect government ID numbers, insurance policy numbers, card numbers or medical records. Please do not send them to us.

Consent

When you submit the inquiry form you consent to us using what you provide to reply and, if your request involves a facility, insurer or partner, to share the minimum needed with that party so they can respond. We ask for your explicit consent on the form before you send anything that may be health-related. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us; we will stop and delete your information unless we must keep it to meet a legal obligation.

Where your information goes

Because these providers are outside Canada, your information may be accessed under the laws of those countries. We choose providers with contractual confidentiality and security commitments. We do not sell personal information and we do not share care-desk inquiries with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and the messages exchanged to answer them are kept for 12 months after our last contact with you, then deleted. Analytics data follows Google's default retention. If you ask us to delete sooner, we will.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or withdraw consent. Quebec residents also have the right to ask how automated processing was used (the assistant generates answers from a fixed directory; it makes no decisions about you) and to data portability. Email pulse@bluepulseai.com; we respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Security and breaches

Form data travels over HTTPS, is stored in access-controlled systems, and is not downloaded to shared devices. If a breach creates a real risk of serious harm, we will notify affected people and the relevant commissioner as the law requires.

Not medical, legal or insurance advice

The Care Guide is an information and referral service. Facility details are verified on the dates shown and can change. In an emergency in Panama, call 911.

Changes

We will post updates here with a new effective date.
